1. Weekly Answers to Your Mindset & Marketing Challenges

Coaches, consultants, practitioners and other companies of one face a tremendous amount of emotional labor to overcome. This is normal. What’s not normal is having a plan for your mental game and marketing obstacles.

In our Q&A meetings we will reexamine your mindset and marketing.

Bring it to me, and our little community, and we'll find a way through by changing how you think and feel about things and reconnecting you to your sense of courage and creativity to take the next right step.

When you think differently, you feel differently and that sets you free to get into action and experience new results.

I host Office Hours on Mondays at 1pm Eastern for live, small group Q&A, 3 per month, usually the first three Mondays of the month.

3. Boutique Business Structure & Mindset Practices

If you’re running a 25-hour workweek, you must know what to do with the precious time you have in your business. 

But knowing how to run a business as a company of one is not something easily found. It’s easy to find information on building a team, hiring staff and becoming a CEO. 

But how do you actually operationalize a company of ONE so that you can stay in the game at 6+ figures or better?

This is my specialty.

Most business training will encourage you to scale when you get to 6 figures, but I’ve found a way of staying small, without depletion, overwhelm or burnout that is simple to run.

Knowing WHAT to do and HOW to do it eliminates a tremendous amount of unnecessary mental struggles and reduces marketing confusion.

I find setting up the right little structures, systems and routines act like an anchor in an otherwise anchor-less career.

This is the official last call for coaching before I go on sabbatical 1/1/24.

Join the Happy Little Practice Club for $595 for the first month of membership and then $297 per month through December 2023.

Come finish the year with me by your side, experience a new level of focus and clarity and develop a marketing practice and messaging that creates peace and prosperity.

Why a Sabbatical?

I’ve been coaching and running a private practice for almost 25 years. I’ve run groups, memberships, spoken on big stages, lead many, many great little talks and maintained a private practice. I feel like I have done it all and more in coaching. During my sabbatical I will be exploring new ways of sharing my Happy Little Practice teachings through writing books, creating courses, and experimenting with new interests and business ideas as well.

While I could do this while running my business, I feel called to take a break from marketing and keeping things going to create the space and time to not only explore my new interests, but to be there for my children, marriage and health in the way I like to be.

While this isn’t forever, I don’t imagine more than a year of a sabbatical, I can not guarantee I’ll be back offering coaching again.

So in full disclosure, this is your final chance to have me by your side as you finish the year with clarity in your messaging and focus in your marketing, Happy Little Practice style.

A Word About ROI:

Here is one way I figure out how to invest in mentoring and other helpful services for my business: I do the math of how many clients will I need to create to see a return on my investment (ROI) in myself and my career.

For most professional coaches, consultants, practitioners and creative moms in business this investment is usually just one new client or taking action on one new idea will bring you a return on your investment.

If you’re brand new to business then perhaps two new clients, depending on what fee structure you’ve set up. This is very reasonable for someone actively creating for a living and taking their business seriously.


The Details

 

When are the coaching calls?

We’ll meet on Mondays at 1pm EST, usually the first three Mondays of the month via Zoom, for a total of three live coaching calls per month, up to 90 minutes. If we’re done earlier, we wrap up earlier.

Will there be replays?

Replays will be posted to the Happy Little Practice Club online hub within one to two days of the live call. Recordings will last 30 days after the live call and then will be deleted.

What if I can’t make a call?

Can’t make a call, no problem.

You can ask me a question, up to 3 days before the next Q&A meeting to address on the live Zoom via our private Help Desk. You can also ask quick Qs and share a quick strategy in our private Slack channel, in-between meetings. If you ask me a question after the weekly coaching, you’ll have to wait until the following coaching call to get your answers. This helps you stay organized and prioritize a core practice of the Happy Little Practice Method – The Weekly Review.

Is there any accountability?

Outside of our regular meetings, you can find an accountability partner via the Slack community. I’ll also show you what to track to become accountable to yourself.

What’s required of me?

Show up for coaching calls.

If you hire a mentor and don’t show up, don’t expect a transformation. You can, of course, decide how many calls per month you need and want, but there will be three each month.

Implement the daily basics: The Golden Hour (GH) and Golden Hour Primer (GHP)

These are core practices in Happy Little Practices dedicated to elevating your mindset and creating new business. This is not optional. Both must be done on most days of your workweek or not much else works in terms of creating new clients. I’ll provide instruction on how to do this, and you can start with one at a time. All it takes is about an hour per day.

If you have a question for an upcoming call, please send in a request for coaching before our next small group meeting with your question briefly outlined via the private help desk.

IMPORTANT: If you send in your request for coaching the day of or after the coaching call, you’ll have to resend it for the following week for coaching or Q&A.

Apply what you learn imperfectly. If you aren’t willing to try different things, your business won’t change much.

How many people will be in the group?

The group ranges 20 and up to 40 professionals in coaching, consulting, private practice who have a company of one. About 70% of current members show up for live Q&A at any given time, and others listen to replays.

What’s your teaching style?

  • I’m down-to-earth, sometimes funny, and will fiercely stand up for your business’s wellbeing when you feel like giving up.

  • I bring a feminist perspective to my teachings so you can understand that sometimes, what you’re trying to change isn’t you, but a societal challenge all women face. This can free you up quite a bit and can light a fire under your seat.

  • I’m a former health coach and have studied brain health, longevity and preventing cognitive decline when you create for a living for over 21 years and have my eye on sustainable business practices for a company of one.

  • Sometimes I’ll get in there and teach you how to do something.

  • I’m not shy about providing clear direction and organizing your options into clear next steps to choose from.

  • I want to show you how you think, feel and how you show up creates all of your results and the simple ways you can leverage your mindset, mood and mental game in business for far better results.

  • I coach you - how you are being in business. And I consult on your business services, structure and systems.

What kind of results do you guarantee?

You are in charge of creating your results.

My job is to partner with you in creating your version of a Happy Little Practice. I’ll do that by helping you elevate how you are BEING and what you are DOING.

While I can point to testimonials of people that created amazing results, it’s really all about you, your ability to focus, stay in the game and be coachable. I’ll do my very best to unravel what trips you up on your way there.

FAIR WARNING: People who don’t seem to make much progress in the club tend to just 1) observe in the club (they are willing to learn, but not do), 2) go think about my recommendations for weeks/months (they question everything, and do nothing) instead of talking with me about it and 3) are not comfortable in a small group setting and do not ask for my help in any of the meetings or the Slack channel.

Do you work privately with people on this topic?

What if I’m not sure if this is the right time?

Here’s when it’s for sure NOT the right time:

  • If you are in the process of moving your home, in the middle of a divorce that’s taking all of your time or you’re really ill and don’t have any energy to focus, then it’s not the right time to work together.

  • If you’re in dire financial straights, please go stabilize your finances with a part-time or full-time job that pays the basic bills so that you can stabilize your nervous system and think clearly. Then come join the club to work on the business with the hours your have left.

  • If you’re in a personal or family crisis of some kind, get yourself stabilized before investing in your business.

Everything else – it’s always the right time.

Why?

You either are in business for yourself or you’re not. Through good times and bad. Through climate change, births, deaths, family challenges, health challenges, political and cultural upheaval, all of it. It is the stuff of life.

Even when all the stars, finances and energy alignment fall into place, it’s only temporary. Something always happens because that’s life. And then people say “oh, it’s not the right time so I better put my business on hold.”

This is one of the core entrepreneurial mindset shifts: it’s never the perfect time because life is at least 50% full of surprises. Onwards!
