My Cool Neighbors: Battenkill Creamery (And making time to enjoy the launch)

So what's this got to do with creating a successful wellness biz that you absolutely love?

Here me out...

This post has everything to do with enjoying the life you work for.

And if you're going to go to through the trouble of working for yourself, facing your fears and doubts, learning the marketing and business skills you need to succeed, etc... I believe you must design your business to be ENJOYABLE.

Most wellness pros have a long list of "someday, when I make more money, I'll do XYZ."

If you take a little time to discover how to set up your biz from the get-to, to ensure you have a good quality of life now (not someday), you can begin to enjoy the entire creative process of launching, lift off and success.

Enjoying the process is actually one of my secret business accelerators.

It just puts you in the right frame of mind, helps you make good decisions and makes you more resourceful.

For example, setting clear work and no-work hours that you honor (everyone seems to know this, but few people do it.)

I'm at my desk from 9:30 - 1:30 Monday - Friday.

The rest of the time I'm hangin' with my son.

And I take the last week off of every month from talking to clients, just to reboot my personal batteries.

So, here is one of the ways I enjoy myself in the summer afternoons, with my 2 year old son.

I head down the road to Battenkill Creamery.

We get some local, all natural ice cream, sit at the shaded picnic tables and visit with the exquistely taken care of baby cows.

(I know they're called calves, but my son prefers to call them baby cows).

They also have a local farm-to-table food store with local, grass-fed beef, maple products and other goodies.

(If you're a health foodie like me, you like to know these things.)

And I love the short, beautiful drive too.

You get to see images like this. (Which is why I live in the country.)

Here's to creating your version of success! (Whether or not that includes ice cream and visiting dairy cows.)

P.S. I'll be sharing more about my cool neighbors, other entrepreneurial types who have created the good life - success in sharing their passion for a living and living where they love to live - just cause it's fun and a bit inspiring, me thinks.
