Changing Your Relationship with Time

I’m sure many of you can relate with not having enough time, feeling like you’re wasting time, or feeling overwhelmed and stressed these days.

I want you to meet one of my new friends, who felt the same way.

Her name is Serena Cofer, and she is a mother of four and a mompreneur in the wellness field.

Two years ago, She did something radical.

1) She quit her full-time teaching job, sold her house, and paid for rent and utilities in advance.

2) She thought if she had less in her schedule, she would be a better mom and feel happier.

3) To her surprise, she found she was dead wrong.

Really, the funny thing was, she didn’t know what to do with herself!

She was so used to being in the story of “busy” that she didn’t know how to be anything else.

Like too many women, she had equated her value in society with how much she was doing, and she worked away into burnout. So she thought a year “off” would cure her of that.

Instead, she often stressed about “wasting time” and “not doing enough”. The stress didn’t go away, it just shifted.

You might be thinking "Well, if only I had a year like that!”

Me too! In fact, on my hard days, I sometimes fantasize about quitting it all.

But the key is not what’s in your schedule! It’s in your relationship with time. (Dang it!)

Two years after starting her big shift, she’s come a long way in understanding time management, but she knows there is more.

To find the missing pieces, she decided to research the subject of time.

This turned into a one-day online conference, where she is interviewing eight other experts (including me!).

It’s called The Busy Moms Conference: Finding Time to be Mom and Everything Else Too.

In my interview, I focused on creating time abundance for moms with a business.

Serena even got a little teary eyed near the end of our interview, as our conversation went a little deep. We touched on what gives me courage to dare to work very differently from my colleagues and my corporate loving family. Hint: it has to do with my eight year old daughter.

This online conference that begins on Nov 17th, for one day only.

The goal? That time is no longer a demanding taskmaster, but a supportive friend. For me, for her and for you.

If you are feeling like you don’t have enough time, you’re wasting time, or you’re overwhelmed and stressed, here’s what I have for you:
