Your Success and Fear of Being Alone

Before I made any serious money, my biggest recurring fear was this: If I really go for it in my business, and become the success I know I can be, and truly allow myself to become fully self-expressed, I'll be all alone.

As the saying goes, it's lonely at the top, right?

Oh, how wrong I was.

When I realized kept using this fear from growing my business, I decided to use the following mantra every time it reared it's ugly little head.

My success brings me and my loved ones closer together.

My success brings me and my loved ones closer together.

My success brings me and my loved ones closer together.

Today, I write this while my son naps from the private, lake front cabin I rented.

The rest of my family - my husband, my brother, my mom and stepdad play by the water's edge and relax in cozy Adirondack chairs overlooking the amazing view. Renting a lake house has always been a dream of mine.

Drew's brother Matt and two of his children just arrived. And hopefully, we'll see Drew's NYC sister Mary and her family, later this week when they make the drive up.

And we even met some really cool people who live next door.

I promise you, being successful is not at all lonely.

Your success can bring the people you love and treasure closer to together.

Here's to creating your version of success,

Karin

Audio Tip: Honoring Your Work Hours

I used to share these weekly audio tips with WellProNet Members. It was hands down one of their favorite resources that I shared with them. I would get funny messages from members saying "How did you know I was going through that!" or "Karin, get out of my head!!" :)

This summer, I'll be sharing some of my "best of my weekly coaching tips" for wellness pros, right here, to help you stay focused on getting results in your practice.

In this 2-minute audio tip, I talk about my #1 secret for staying focused on results. (Oh, and disregard the mention of a teleclass at the end of this one, okay?)

Hope this helps!

Wellness Pro Success Tip: How to End the ON/OFF Marketing Cycle

Have you ever found yourself  a little disconnected from your business? You haven’t written your newsletter in a while, or unplugged from marketing your practice in any consistent way.

It’s kind of like the dieting cycle that people sometimes face.

You’re either eating really well and very zen like.

Or you’re bingeing.

Being good. Or Being bad.

ON or OFF.

Same things happens in your business.

You’re either marketing. Or totally NOT.

If you ever find yourself in this situation – I know I have – first thing to do is BREATHE.

Acknowledge that you’re probably hitting a vulnerable spot, starting to stretch yourself and a breakthrough is probably coming down the line.

It’s just an old habit.

Everyone does it.

Just get back in the game.

Okay, but here’s the challenge. Getting back in the game can feel overwhelming right? Where do you start?

So what usually ends up happening is you repeat the ON cycle and get furiously busy. Which leads to burnout and the OFF cycle of marketing again.

So here’s what I recommend when you’re facing this right now, or what to remember in case this happens again.

Focus on getting ONE thing done per week that will bring you closest to your goals.

It will feel a little funny because you won’t be doing the mad dash ON cycle.

You’ll be gentle with yourself and actually FAR more effective than doing a lot once in a while.

Sure and steady wins the race.

Fast and furious leads to burnout and doesn’t work long term.

Focus on getting ONE thing done each week and watch yourself hit your goals without the stress of the ON OFF cycle.

To your continued success,

Karin
